Poster Session Information

Mountain Plains Library Association, North Dakota Library Association, and South Dakota Library Association are joint hosts for the Fall 2002 Conference Exploring New Pathways to Information on Wednesday, October 2 - Saturday, October 5, 2002, at the Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference Center in Fargo, North Dakota. Librarians in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Minnesota and Manitoba are invited to submit applications for a poster presentation. There will be two no-conflict times scheduled for the poster sessions. Twenty tables, 4 by 6, each with two chairs, will be available during each session.

Poster sessions may be on any topic related to libraries, such as:

Poster session participants place materials such as graphs, diagrams, pictures, data, and narrative on boards that will fit on a 4 by 6 table. Presenters must provide their own display and handout materials. All handouts should be prepared in advance of the conference.

Poster sessions are not provided with access to electricity or the Internet.

Presenters will set-up their displays 20 minutes before their scheduled time and take them down promptly after the session. Participants must be present for the entire time of the poster session to discuss their presentations with conference attendees.

The titles and abstracts of all of the poster sessions will be inserted in the conference participant’s packets.

Please submit your poster session application before June 30, 2002. Responses will be sent by July 30, 2002.
