Theme: The Laughing Librarian As professionals, librarians are often misunderstood and as they seek to correct misconceptions and educate others about what they do as librarians in a constantly changing work environment, a sense of humor is a vital tool. Positive humor in the workplace can be useful in the one-person library as well as a larger institution as it facilitates good health and can be an effective stress management tool. Presentations are not limited to the theme, but a humorous approach to the presentation topic is encouraged.
