POSITION: Assistant Archivist QUALIFICATIONS: Required: ALA accredited MLS or MA degree in History and graduate level course work in archival management. Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of archival standards and arrangement and description principles and methods; experience with World Wide Web technologies, electronic databases, and other electronic applications relevant to archives; demonstrated ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish rapport and work with the public and staff; knowledge of North Dakota and/or Great Plains history; reading/speaking knowledge of the Norwegian language; able to lift a 40 lb. box; able to work scheduled evenings, weekends and holidays.
